Yes, that is right, giving is not compulsory.

They (the ALS Charity) were still able to raise $15 Million in less than 3 weeks!

So, there are more people who gave than those who did not. smile smile smile

Jimmy Kimmel accepted one of his multiple challenges, he chose Rob Ford and then he put a twist on it.

No one has challenged me. I wouldn't do it anyway. I would just donate an amount I could afford.

Exactly.

I don't think that all the people who dump ice water their heads should be exalted for doing so.

People get doused and give as well. (opting to get wet and also give, rather than be stingy)

It is like running for charity and giving.

But, yes, there will be scoffers, that is expected.

Both for the dousing action and criticism of the whole event.

I was challenged instead of dumping water on myself I sent a check for $100 and challenged my friends to send money instead of dumping water on themselves.

I told them you know that by dumping water on yourself you are telling the world you were too cheap to donate right lol

In other news, the guy who started this challenge drowned this past week in a swimming accident at age 27.

Some techical difficulty with my Flipcam prevented me from making an ice water video...and getting video footage of a Heron this morning. But donating money to ALS research won't be a problem.

I have been challenged and will not be participating.  I live in New Orleans, LA.  It is summer.  Ice water feels GOOD.  If you want a REAL ice bucket challenge, find the biggest, hairiest knuckled, biker or thug you can and, without him knowing, dump a bucket of ice water on HIM.  NOW you have a challenge.

Meh, we used water that was already wasted. It sounds more disgusting than it is.

I'll refrain an flush in the toilet in the future to compensate for others.
