so did you shoot the Christmas lights separately and then imported it into a background? or was it stock footage? regardless it looks clean.

I want to keep this thread alive, thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. It has been very helpful as my studio is only an 11 x 20 ! I am working on expanding it but money talks!

Any diagrams for an 11 x 20!! please post and I will show you some of the work! Thanks again

Don't have access to a diagram at this time, so here's a pic of the setup.

https://modelmayhm-3.vo.llnwd.net/d1/photos/090517/15/4a10921c5b797.jpg

One 48" softbox - camera left. One 3x6 white reflector - camera right. One 9" reflector with blue gel lighting up the black colored backdrop, hidden by the reflector. Reflector is also blocking some of the blue colored light to keep it from spilling onto the scooter. Also put the escort to work pulling fan duty.

awesome set up. Did you have a back/hair light some where? I was trying to find it in the pic or was it just the light from the reflector? great shot.

Nice image, but it seems that the soft box is suppose to be on the right side while the reflector is suppose to be on the left.

And am pretty sure we are not allowed to post nude images here or else this tread might get locked
But you can always put a link to the image.

1)Printed background image. Used for pixel consistancy and replace by the original image in Photoshop.
2)Two SLS3200 lights at 45° to the background to provide illumination.
3)Hair light with turquoise gell. The hair light must be the colour that you will finally make the background.
4)Polyboards to stop the background lights causing flare. Polyboards are sheets of polystyrene usually painted white on one side or black on the other but can also be a combination of colours.
5)Nikon SB-900 Speedlight with softbox acting as a clip light.
6)SLS Strobe on a boom providing fill from above the models head.
7)Nikon SB-900 Speedlight acting as fill and adding specular highlights.
8)Large Octobox with Bowens 750 DX pro mono light acting as key light.
9)Nikon SB-900 with softbox below model acting as fill light.
10)Row of wooden boxes simulation the wall she is standing on.

Technical info:

•Camera - Nikon D3x Camera, on loan courtesy of Nikon South Africa
•Lens - Nikon VR 105 Macro N F/2.8
•Shutter Speed – 1/200s
•Aperture – F/18 (full frame Nikon cameras have a very shallow DOF)
•ISO – 200
•Triggering method – Bowen Pulsar wireless trigger

I have commitments for the next few days but have bookmarked this post. I will try to post some diagrams using cheap lighting (off camera flashes, cheap slaves, etc) bfore the end of the week. One of the most active and better posts I have seen on MM. To me, sharing this valuable information is what these forums should be about. Whether you are a beginner or very experienced we can always learn from each other's contributions to such a topic. Well done contributors.

Hmmm. OK. Well CutePDF works, but not well. Many of the diagrams don't show up correctly.

Edit. Maybe it does... Let me work on this.

OK. Try this: www.gibsonphotoart.com/download/MM/MM-L … -26-30.zip
