Loving this photo! My fav WWII fighter. Never missed an episode of Black Sheep Squadron. Led me to read Boyington's autobiography. My dream is to win the lottery to afford one of these...

F4U-4, a bitch to land but once in the air...ya couldnt touch it! I'm a P38 fan myself but salute all that served or supported American values. We are poor lil sheep that have lost or way.....;)

Other than the Spitfire, Corsair is my favorite WWII warbird. "We are poor little lambs, who have lost our way, baa baa baa."

I read "Fly Boys". A few of the boys whom were protecting the U.S. from the Japenese (with world global dominance on its mind- much like MM) flew the Corsair. A few shot down pilots were carved up and eaten by their drunken captures. These japenese soldiers were not in battle, they were on islands where nothing happens at all- kinda like your town, And then all of the sudden- Americans. On their soil!!!! It was war.

They decimated the soldiers and finally the commandant decided to eat the livers of the men- just to show he was in charge. Had one man dug up and had his liver removed, just to prove he was kewl~~~~~~~~~~~`

Beautiful shot. Reminds me of my Dad taking me to airshows as a kid. We'd always ride in my Grandpa's car, had his Naval officer stickers on it so we wouldn't have to pay and get saluted too.

Love that radical wing design! P-51's & Corsairs are my favorite prop airplanes. The Thunderbolt is my other favorite.

Great capture!

As a former military and current airline pilot of nearly 30 years, I can truly appreciate the beauty of such a model.

Aviation, my first love and one and only true love! Nothing else, nobody else compares, regardless how beautiful.
