My photography background began when I was around 6 years old. I have been looking through a lens my whole life. I was a yearbook photographer in college, and ships photographer for an assignment in the Navy.

I have taken photo classes at the Community College of Allegheny County, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Filmmakers (a few classes shy of a photography degree), as well as Stanford in California. My latest class was on proper studio lighting using a professional model in San Francisco. I am an Associate member of Pittsburgh Filmmakers.

Lately I have been doing a lot of experimenting with single studio strobe dramatic lighting.

I have two photo studios that I primarily use. One is in the Pittsburgh Filmmakers building in North Oakland, and the other is at a friend’s residence just off of the Roslyn Farms exit of the parkway in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I sometimes use studios in the Fox Chapel area and on Washington’s Landing. I have my own studio lighting and backdrops, so I can shoot anywhere there is power.

I am also into Biking (non-motorized) and have found a lot of interesting backgrounds for shoots along the bike trails around the Pittsburgh area and as far away as Summerset. I would love to do an outdoors glamour shoot on one of the trails, I can provide a bike if needed.

I have been working with a small group of photographers. Our purpose is to help models build their portfolio (TF) while learning and developing our photography skills. We have one professional photographer helping us. We have a outside shoot and at least one studio shoot a month. One too three girls show for our sessions and the number of photographers changes. The photographers get a lot of shooting time, and the models come away with lots of shots to help her portfolio.
