About Me

Thank you for taking the time to look at my stuff.  I would first like to thank all the amazing models and stylists who co-created all the images you see. I’m a big believer in the team approach in photo production. This way of working comes from years in commercial advertising photography, where everyone’s creativity goes into the final image. Always starting with a shared vision of the concept. We plan the location, wardrobe, and props. This is how I work.

My style I'd describe as retro glam. The 1940’s to the 1960’s was a time where women were allowed to be glamorous. From the pinup girls of the 40’s & 50’s to the playmates of the sixties, model photography had a sexy innocence with that Girl-next-door vibe that I love.

I have made three separate galleries of my work.

“Conceptual glam” this is a style of photography I enjoy creating the most. It starts with an idea that tells a story.  You will see everything from Lady Catwings as a knife thrower’s assistant to a beautiful woman waiting for her lover's plane to land. Great images make the viewer go WOW that's cool! NO BORING PHOTOs is my goal… always.

“Retro Pinup” this gallery is photos of pinups with a 40’s feel. Some of the images are recreations of the period illustrations done by the pinup artists of the day. They drew their fantasy, well women are just not built like a Barbie doll, with tiny waists, big boobs and legs that go forever!  But with the magic of Photoshop we can create that feel. I love all pinups!

“Naked Ladies” Please do not go into this gallery if the female form somehow offends you. This sensitivity I personally do not understand, but a model once told me that "it looks like you only shoot nudes”. Well I certainty don't want that to be the case, as I shoot all sorts of images that celebrate the beauty women without nudity. I’m an unapologetic fan of the female form! My belief is the female form is art. I’m not alone in this, walk into any city center in Europe and you are surrounded by fountains, statues, and art all celebrating the beauty of the female form. Perhaps my perspective is from a different time and place.

After looking at my stuff, if you would like to discuss working together on something amazing for our portfolios, please contact me, as I love working with new people. Thank you again for taking time to visit.

                                  Some “rules” I work by:

-    I do not work with complete strangers, if you don’t have the time for a pre-
shoot meeting, another photographer is probably a better choice.
-      I encourage models to bring a friend to the shoot for moral support.
-    I shoot with a concept that has been planned for with wardrobe, props, and
        backgrounds...
-    lastly, I’m casual by nature, but very professional and expect those I work
        with to be equally professional.
