Alreet My names Martin,
I've not been keeping my profile upto date as much as i should,i survived the 1st year at UNI and now into my 2nd year of the Photography Degree.
I'm starting to find my path and becoming an artist again,my imagination still runs riot and i do still hear the voices in my head. The only thing that stops the chaos is when i'm looking through the glass and focusing on a subject,time stops and i'm responsible but feel confident and energised. That clarity makes me happy until it's all over and the demons return with ideas for the next thing they want doing.
I was shown the work of Diane Thorneycroft 3 weeks ago,and having tried painting with light before i decided to give it another bash. I love it like a fat kid loves cake!
I felt like Michealangelo with a choice of torches as my brushes,shot on digital and large format colour chrome using film is the way forward,and i'm being taught the old ways working with a very gifted fellow student.
I aim to specalise in this technique,something clicked (maybe the shutter) but the results are what i've been looking for,i find the studios to clinical and they steal my mind mojo,lurving the lights but i'm buzzing more on location shoots.
If you do decide you want to spend some time in my world i'll only consider wierd shit that brings on the voices. Your wardrobe must contain wierder shit than mine and you supply the Peppers,1 red 1 green 1 yellow.
