Friends (39)About Me
I created Resonance Images in 2003 to fulfill the visual needs of Disonance Recordings. But even more primarily, to give myself a continual constructive outlet for my visual ideas. Without borders. Without limits.
I started out early (8 or 9 yrs. old) with art. I split my time between art and music in high school, leaving music classes for the art club and art classes. There, I first learned photography and graphic design on Illustrator and Photoshop. I attended St. Louis Community College in St. Louis, MO. There I learned to weld and was able to augment sculpture and printmaking into my skill-set... and was really able to delve into photography. I got a job at a local camera store chain. Became a Certified Photographic Consultant, did my fair share of work doing weddings (indoor and out), helped out in the store's photo studio whenever I could and sold a camera or two. I started shooting pictures of the St. Louis music scene for friends in bands/performance groups and others who were fashion designers. I merged my visual and musical identities together and really honed the specifics for shooting for performances on stage. From St. Louis, I moved to Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR and now I currently call Phoenix, AZ home. I continually strives to re-invent imagery in the modern day. And although I specialize in album artwork, graphic design, and band photography for the music industry, I offer photography, fine art and graphic design services for all. I would love to find others photographers who share this same love for photography AND music as I do, as well as other multi-media artists to talk shop with. I am starting work on a few project concepts, including one involving dreadlocks and another involving body modifications (ink, piercings, branding, implants and other ritual modifications). I would especially like to touch base with those who practice suspension rituals, or those who are going (or have gone thru) the stages of gender re-assignment. These are only a few of the ideas I am tossing around. For these projects, I am looking for TFP (pics in exchange for modeling). I am open to model ideas, and sometimes get even more from a model when he/she have a creative connection to the shoot. Let me know your ideas, I'll share mine. I hope you like the few pics up here. There are more at my images page on my website.
