Photographer located in San Jose, California. I can shoot in a portable studio or on location. I prefer to shoot on location, simply because it reveals more about the model's personality and uniqueness. I have a casual and relaxed style and approach all photo projects with the utmost professionalism. I expect the same from anyone I work with. I enjoy photographing people and strive to capture their inner being in addition to their physical persona.

I always meet with a client before a shoot to discuss ideas, location, clothing selection, theme, and logistics. This helps to exchange ideas, set expectations and most importantly to break the ice and establish a relationship between photographer and client. A perfect subject, composition, lighting and exposure are not meaningful if the model isn't comfortable being themselves in front of the photographer and the camera. Establishing a rapport with the client is critical to producing beautiful, artful images.

I rarely shoot only with natural lighting because it is so limiting. I believe in using any form of lighting available to me - sunlight, reflected/diffused light, speedlight, strobe, continuous, etc. I strive to create and shape light as needed to make beautiful images which gives me much more flexibility vs. simply relying on particular sunlight conditions. Shooting in mid-day sunlight does not scare me as long as you can tolerate the heat.

I'm interested in adding more variety to my portfolio and looking for models to photograph - TFCD (Trade my time for CD of images). I'm interested in creative lighting portraits both with studio lighting and also on location to both further your portfolio as well as mine.
