I am an artist by birth, it doesn't make me any more special than the person who sits next to me on the bus each morning. Yet those of us who are born to see things differently can relate to the feeling that life is never as simple as looking through your own eyes each day. We spend most of our time using what we see to help us turn it into seeing something better whether it be more beautiful or more grotesque. I wake up each day with the feeling that if I am not at least trying to create an idea of something to to try or new to create than I am not truly the artist I am and aspire to be one day. Ultimately the sight I see every day is that of a single lens and a single brush stroke. Its a vision I think more people are born with than even know it. I welcome more people into the world we artists have created for ourselves. I guarantee you the veiw is far better than you can even imagine.
My work is that of reality meeting with the world of fiction every person must one day come to terms with the person they are and the person they wish they were. I try to find an individual characteristic in each person that can come through the photograph and speak to the viewer. It what we all want to be that can exist for the moment the camera flashes go off.
