It was when he was 13 years old, the experiment of vintage t-shirts that his grandmother collected from around the world. Soon after Jesse began a love for watching the Style Network’s runway portion and received chills when he would watch Betsey Johnson, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and Yves Saint Laurent.

As a high school student Jesse enjoyed English and Art classes, but at times Jesse’s mind would wonder to fashion in the midst of a lesson. The school time doodling soon gave birth to a creature he name “Nikolai”. Jesse’s creature-sidekick slowly appeared on shirts, backpacks and sneakers… a “must have” in the school yard. Just like that, the “Creatures from jessejr.” line was born. After giving Nikolai and back story and an earthbound friend, the fun-loving Maude, he officially launched his creatures line on his website www.weareallcreatures.com

But a lifestyle brand was not all that was on Jesse’s mind. He started to take strong interest in making hand sewn and detail oriented blouses and dresses, and before long his Pret A Porter line “JESSE REYNA JR.” was launched. The line consists of playful, yet eccentric blouses, tanks, jackets, skirts, dresses and accessories. He brings a new nostalgic style for an effortless expression of femininity. To date Jesse has put on 5 of his own orchestrated fashion shows.

Eager to learn more about the business side of fashion and branding, Jesse interned for the LA-based designer Sheri Bodell and has worked for swimwear designer Ashley Page, and Cornerstone, the lifestyle-marketing agency and publisher of FADER magazine. His immediate goals are to attend design college on the East Coast. After his training, Jesse plans on launching his fashion house, which will include the Creatures from jessejr. and JESSE REYNA JR. brands.
