Born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Nora del Busto has lived the majority of her life in the Midwest. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and then received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. After working as an attorney for a few years, del Busto decided she wanted to spend less time in the courtroom and more time exploring her creative side.

Her first step towards her career change was enrolling at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago. Once at the academy, she realized she also has a passion for architecture---an influence that is apparent in many of her designs. She loves to design structured garments with precise detail and also enjoys manipulating plain fabrics into extraordinary one-of-a-kind pieces. Nora graduated from IADT in 2008 and began working at Cintas as an apparel design assistant.

In March of 2009 Nora was one of six designers selected by a committee to participate in the Chicago Fashion Incubator at Macys. As a designer in residence Nora is actively working toward launching her first line for spring 2010.

Nora’s designs have been featured in a number of publications including Women’s Wear Daily, CS Magazine, Strut Magazine and the Chicago Sun Times.
