Beautiful, was not a word I heard often growing up. Throughout my highschool years I was constantly attempting to find out who I was. Once I graduated high school, I decided to take the leap and enroll in Cosmetology School. I thought it would give me a sense of "beauty." Boy, was I wrong. I would have to say, those nine months were the best and worst times of my life. However during that time, I found myself. I realized what I wanted, and who I wanted to be. Beauty, is not just something you see on the outside. Its the overall persona of a individual. Because of the lack of confidence I had growing up, I want nothing more than to make people feel good about themselves. I know that makeup is just makeup, and people say women tend to hide behind it, but I don't think that is the case. I think that people need confidence, and if makeup is something that will give you that, then go for it. I love my job because I can instill the confidence that women sometimes lack. With just a single stroke of a brush, and the shimmer of a shadow, I can make someones life better by putting that smile they've been hiding back on their face.
