About Me

I've been interested in photography since I got my first SLR as an 8th grade graduation gift from my dad. I studied under a portrait photographer for 3 years, learning about the use of natural light and how to create flattering poses. For the last 4 years, I've been pursuing photography as a part-time business, mainly working with children and families. But, I've always loved photographing models because I have to focus so much less on the subject and I can focus more on my technique. With kids, I spend the majority of my energy getting them to hold still and smile. With a model, they look fabulous no matter what they do, and I can really get creative with lighting, theme concepts, settings, and poses.

In the past I've worked mostly with natural light, but now I want to expand my expertise by learning how to utilize studio light. A lot of my future project will be experimenting with different types of artificial light, combined with natural light.

I'm pretty busy with the Christmas portrait season, but I'm still finding time in between jobs to do fun projects. So, I'm looking for models who want to expand their portfolios and would like to collaborate on a trade basis. Starting the beginning of next year, I'll have even more time to do TFCD work.

I've noticed that a lot of the model photographers are men, so being a female photographer puts me in the minority. I think it is an advantage, because I've been on the other side of the camera before, and if you're new to modeling, it can kind of be unnerving to have a guy photographing you. Especially if it’s a risqué shoot. I hope that my experience as a photography subject can help me be more in tune with my female models. Also, for those who wish to bring an escort, that's completely fine! I may put him or her to work, so be sure and warn them. :)

I mainly work in San Luis Obispo county, but I sometimes travel to the Bay area for shoots, because I just moved from there and have a lot of clients there still. So, if you would like to do a shoot in Paso Robles or Lafayette, or somewhere around there, on a TFCD basis send me and email and we can talk. However, I should add that, due to an increasing number of TF* requests, I am being more selective when accepting shoots of this nature. If you contact me regarding working together on a TF* basis, please don't be upset if I am forced to decline.

Here's how I do TFCD: After the shoot, I will give you all the unedited images on a cd. I usually take these in RAW, so if you'd rather wait for JPGs, it will be about 1 week till I have those ready. I will adjust them, rotate them, do a bit of contrast and color correction and crop them. Then, I'll upload them to KodakGallery and email you an online album. You can choose your favorite images (5 per hour that you modeled) and email me the numbers and I'll retouch those. I will email them to you as I get them retouched. I can usually have them done in a week or two. If you would like me to make a CD of all the original JPGs and the retouched ones, let me know and I can mail it to you. I will ask that you not post unedited images online unless you ask me first. Some images look fine unedited, and some don't. I will ask your approval for the images that I use in my profile or post online. If there is an image you absolutely hate, I can either edit it to your liking, or not use it.

Thanks for taking a look at my profile!
