About Me

I have been active as a photographer on different levels for quite some time now – I’ve done a little bit of everything. I have recently come to the conclusion that I would like to continue to photograph various projects, because I like the diversity. I like doing fashion shoots, band photos, but also documenting travels through the lens of my camera. Since I have quit working a 9 to 5 job, I realized that photography is my passion. Taking photographs of whatever crosses my path is what I love doing, especially when it’s as breathtaking as my lovely girlfriend – who I can’t stop photographing. It’s like a second nature to play around with the beautiful thing they call a camera. When saying Ian, you’ll say photography. I simply love it!

People might not always like my work, but opinions may differ, and I don’t let it bother me. I do it the way I like, whether it be the right way or the wrong way. I’ve heard people say they would have taken the picture differently, but every photographer has his own style and technique, which makes him or her unique. You either hate it or you love it. However, I’m not opposed to working with my clients in realizing their wishes and adapting my vision to agree with theirs.

I describe my work as being quirky and unlike anything you would come across with other photographers – one of my photography teachers told me this pretty early on in my education. At school, I was unique in my methods and visions, working in a way none of my fellow students would. My teacher thought my talent and creativity was, and is, something you cannot create. He said it has to be a part of you. I took that comment to heart and became proud of the work I produced. To this day, I have continued to work in my unique way and will always do so.
