About Me

High quality portraits, on film, no bullshit. If that sounds good, lets do some work.

I primarily shoot film, medium and large format, for personal work. Shoot analog, share digital.

My main focus right now, in addition to portfolio work, is to further these two projects:

1. I am interested in how artists, musicians, craftspeople, and general creative types interact with their workspace and how their workspace reflects them as an artist. This could mean studio spaces of artists and photographers, practice spaces and recording studios for musicians, office spaces for those that run creative business, tattoo studios, your room with a loom, etc.
So I'm looking at you Models that are artists, other photographers, clothing designers, make up artists, and so on!

2. So much of modern photography is retina melting high end product. I want to look behind that aspect of photography, specifically the models; the individuals, who are used as product, as composition, as clothes rack, as form, as object of desire. I seek to make well thought out, some what simple, honest images of people who are normally hidden behind so much make up and photoshop. Breaking down photography to observation of the over-observed.

These projects would be geared more towards collection as books (or hell, zines even) though I wouldn't rule out publishing should interest pick up, but ya know, play that by ear.

I'm all about trading images for time for the personal projects and interesting projects of yours.

If either of these projects sound interesting you, please get in touch (and if you can, be in the general area of Massachusetts)

Oh yeah, I also shoot a lot of local hardcore shows in the Boston area: http://bummercity.com
