I'm an amateur photographer that has shot photos of things and places... but I'm looking to learn more about portraiture, in studio and out and about on location. I recently took part in a studio shoot at a fellow photographer's home and learned that it's not so hard to actually get the technicals down, BUT the creativity is where I need much work and help. At the shoot, I met 4 models that are members of Model Mayhem... and my friend, the photog is also a member. He suggested the need to be part of such groups to help develop contacts, and see some of what is out there.
