I'm totally captivated by the human form and expressions as my photographic subjects. Nothing interests the viewer more than people. The human subject, especially the face, is the only subject matter with which paintings cannot compare to photographs.

I am aspiring to discover interesting and new lighting and shadow effects striking the model. My photograph of a salsa dancer here on Model Mayhem is a good example of clever lighting/shadows. I had put a wireless remote flash on the ground facing upwards, toned with a red gel and a translucent umbrella. The effect for that composition was to simulate the glowing lighting of a campfire that would be positioned down at her foot level.

I want to belong to Model Mayhem so that I can have access to a variety of talent. Hopefully I can find some subjects that can also evoke any emotion: certainly in her face, but also in her body language. So I'm looking for an actress as much as for beauty or unusualness.

I've been exhibited in many juried exhibitions and the San Diego Museum of Natural History.
