25 year old aspiring makeup artist and fashion designer. I have been working in the field of makeup for nearly 10 years, mostly in stage makeup. I began doing drag makeup at the age of 16 (and still do) but have branched out into theatre and private contracts. I am completely self taught; where some might fear my lack of formal training has given me a handicap, I have always viewed it as an advantage. Without formal training and technique to limit me; I often think outside the box and produce alternatives to makeup challenges that a trained eye may not see. I would one day like to work in the fashion and film industries and I am hoping that this site will allow me to make some new contacts. I love criticism (when it is constructive) and feedback and enjoy learning from others. I hope in turn that I may teach and inspire other people within the field. Finally, I love fusing different styles which often yield bizarre and beautiful results. If I had to describe my own aesthetic it would be "trashy royalty" - Marie-Antoinette meets Courtney love. I also have a particular flare for the dramatic (given my background in drag) and a love for the over the top 90's look of house divas (i.e. ultranate).
