My Name is Mike De La Haye and I am a photographer living in Toronto.

I had a passing acquaintance with film photography years ago. I had a nice camera and a couple of lenses that had sat, unused for some time. I wanted to rekindle that creative flame. I was intrigued by digital photography and, frankly, loved the idea of exploring a visual world through a camera and a computer. I had already used an Olympus 5050 but knew that SLR was really the way to go. I took the plunge with a Nikon D70s camera, and haven't looked back.

Three cameras, 5 lenses, 2 tripods, two websites and several camera bags later, I obtained my Digital Photography Certificate from George Brown College in Toronto and continue to take courses to expand my knowledge and experience. I have taken courses as diverse as Fashion, Portraiture, Food & Product Photography and Nature Photography. I am currently a teaching assistant for the fashion photography course at George Brown College in Toronto.
