My name is Dex Bateman. I was formerly pursuing a career as a director of photography for film, but I found that taking stills gave me the chance to have even more control over the elements of a shot, and I love the intimacy of working with a model and an assistant instead of being held hostage by the demands of producers and directors! I live in Maine, and I seek out every opportunity to photograph the beauty of people with the beauty of this state.
