First and foremost I consider myself a writer, a journalist. It's like 'The Dream' job, the one where you wake up and realize you actually have to make $ to live and payback the double comma school loans.

So not only as a mere means to an end, but as a collaborative effort to write about the beauty industry from an insider perspective, I began beauty school at FBI and paired with my already budding yet inherent sense of fashion, style and influences from my school environment at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, teachers, friends and internships I have found myself no longer desiring to use brushes to paint on paper. Makeup is just as much an art as anything else requiring a brush and a blank canvas.

Finding a way to blend my many interests together has been a blessing in disguise and I love the creativity involved with styling photo shoots and doing makeup. It finally puts all the time I spend with W, Vogue and Style.com to use, not to mention an almost four-year degrees worth of classes. And besides that one thing I realized through becoming an Aesthetician is that I help make people feel beautiful and confident through the healthy skin they're going to cover up with makeup five minutes after their facial. And since then its been history in the making.

As of right now I am mainly interested in doing Makeup but I really love being involved and gaining experience in all areas so I also model and style for shoots.
