My life began immersed in a world of photography. My uncle, to whom I was very close, was a professional photographer who owned his own studio. My father shared his love of photography, and I therefore grew up with an appreciation of the equipment, skill, and the product. I have always been in awe of the ability to capture a moment on film. There is nothing more precious than a memory of that which we love and no better way to hold that memory close than through a photograph.

Photography was brought to the forefront of my life with the birth of my daughter in 2006. I wanted to document every moment and hold on to each stage of her life. She became my muse. At this time, I bought my first digital SLR and fell in love with Nikon and even deeper in love with the art of photography. In time, as my collection of equipment grew and my skills and passion developed further, others began requesting photos. Soon my hobby evolved into a business.

I continue to view photography as an art form. I have a vision that begins with capturing the moment and the beauty of the subject. It is imperative to me that the natural beauty stays intact throughout the process of translating the moment into a printed portrait. Therefore, I use the editing process to soften images, enhance colors, and minimize minor imperfections. This process also allows for variation of the image such as black and white or a vintage look. However, the subject should always appear natural and recognizable.

I strive to create a fun, relaxed environment during photo sessions. It makes for an enjoyable experience for all and comes through in the images. It would be an honor to capture your moment and share my passion with you.
