In short, I want to be the next Annie Leibovitz (who doesn't, right?). I've loved photography since I was a kid and my dad gave me my first camera when I was 9, but I only recently have starting turning my hobby into a tentative profession (better late than never). Right now, I'm working on boosting my portfolio with pictures of people who aren't my relatives. Most of the pictures I take of my nieces and nephews are called "sweet" and I haven't really had an opportunity to develop a style for pictures of adults as such. I'd like to explore edgy but artistic portraiture (timeless and elegant, but with a pinch of LaChappelle). To that end, I'd like to use Model Mayhem to get in touch with models who need help developing their look much like I'm developing my style. I figure the more people I talk to and work with, the better I'll get and the more valuable a photographer I'll be. Also, I'm left-eye dominant, and a small part of me believe that makes me a slightly better photog than folks who are right-eye dominant. I want my photos to tell a story, not just show what someone looked like at one point.
