I wish to collaborate with creative models to explore concepts of gesture and mood in my images.


Thomas’ artwork contains years of evolution. From the early days of childhood artist showing his paintings in local shows and at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, Kentucky, to the one man shows in his year’s of studying art at Vincennes University, the common theme was to explore his artistic vision. The early training from his mentors and influences of impressionism and modernism has continually shaped his work. While painting was his early medium of exploration, Thomas has always had a camera in hand, shooting landscapes and objects of interest, sunsets, early morning fog on the river, and people. Over the years painting faded from the forefront as exploring his vision through photography took over. The technology of the early eighties introduced Thomas to computers. His involvement started before the days of personal computers, and that laid the foundation for the tool that would ultimately be used to create the artwork of today. The tools of brushes, paint, film, and darkroom have given way to the digital image, computer, software, and the printer for this internationally renowned artist. The early influences of painting and photography have combined with technology to present the viewer with an original imaginative visual experience of composition and color as seen through the mind’s eye, the camera, and the print.
