Mariamma Kambon is a Trinidad born, New York based photographer. She is the founder and owner of m/mariamma Creative Photography, a commercial photography company in her homeland. She has visited, lived and/ or worked in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America and throughout the Caribbean as a physicist and freelance photographer.
Initially trained as physicist (BSc NCCU 2002), Mariamma has brought the precision and efficiency of the sciences to photography. She is currently nourishing her soul through her exploration of conceptual photography at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan.
Her client list includes major Caribbean corporations, publications, newspapers and individuals. Her most famous image to date was featured on the front page of the New York Times (April 17, 2009).
Mariamma is at Model Mayhem looking for models, stylists and make-up artists who are willing to cross the frontiers of fashion and fine art to find the place where incredible images are born.
