Peter Igel was born in 1984. After completing his education in the field of information technology, he followed his father’s footsteps into a successful family business specializing in the distribution of technical measure and control instruments.

Having a secure day job still leaves Peter with enough breathing space to follow his varied interest ranging from drumming to photography in which he can tap his creative potential to the full.

Photography soon, though unexpectedly, matured from a mere hobby to a professional career. Since the first baby steps in spring 2004, Peter has come a long way and gained a lot of experience through working with numerous clients and subjects. He delved into many areas but eventually specialized in fashion, portraiture and nude photography, as the human form fascinates him most. Since 2005 he has been running a successful home photo studio.

Peter’s ideas about photography are very straightforward. “I have to like a photograph, it has to have unity. I am who I am, I have my own style.”
