My name is Nikki D,

I'm a photographer who has also been in this industry as a model for the last 18yrs, working on both print & runway projects.

Needless to say when I picked up my camera a couple years ago & began to focus my creative energy on something that gives me further ability to get my ideas out there, as well as to work with & collaborate on some amazing projects with others in the industry...it was only natural when I chose this profession for my longterm career.

Some VERY important rules I follow...

Treat your models, MUA's, wardrobe stylists, creative team, & everyone else you work with the same way you wish to be treated...with respect for them & their profession. This is a tough industry @ times & I believe its always important to remember how hard everyone works, & to never be above expressing your appreciation for a job well done.

This is a business I take very seriously. As such it should be noted that ALL work with the models & the companies I work with is always conducted under a contract agreement in order to protect not only myself, but also the professionals I work with. As I also coach models on how to pose & walk the runway, this experience also comes in handy when working with others as a creative director behind the lens, & my past experience as a model also helps me to better understand how to help models to feel more confident in front of the lens if they are just starting out.

For over a year I had been working with many amazing people throughout Alberta & British Columbia. Recently I was asked to come to Montreal & work with an amazing group of stylists.

It has been such an amazing journey so far that I have now made Montreal my permanent residence. So to all of my fellow models & creative minds alike...I hope we have the chance to work together on the next chapter of this journey soon!
