About Me

Hey everyone!

I'm Kel!

Profile is currently under-developed, and should be finished soon with a more diverse portfolio.

A little about me: I'm a camera nerd. I have a strange fascination with the smell of old metal and the strange way light seals smell like chewing tobacco.. You too? awesome.

Like I said, I'm working on my portfolio, looking for TfCD work. Being that I work in Film and digital, retouching can be done, but I prefer to keep it to a minimum. I've never been a fan of photochoping something to death - There is nothing wrong with a few adjustments here or there, a tighten and a tuck, but the "suddenly in clouds" or "weird viney things all over" stuff is a no go. I also wont do selective desaturation - "sin city effect" where the focus is thrown up at the viewer as the only color thing in the image. Its over used, and looks just plain cheesy.

Im interested in a diverse set of photographic "genres" but I want to specialize in Fashion / Glamor. The reason for this is it tends to be a salable medium for a high art concept. Also, I get to make people feel more beautiful with my work.

Some ideas
Film noir - Think of the old black and white mystery movies from the 50's
Id absolutely love to do some shots with a ballerina.
Underwater stuff I can do.. Ive got the gear, but I've never attempted it. If anyone feels like going for a dip sometime (and has a pool!) hit me up!

I've got quite a few things buzzing around in my head, just dont have cute titles for them! Feel free to add me, or message me and let me know if you have any ideas. I'm very open to working with new to the scene models. You need the practice and so do I! :D

Lets make some art
