I'm Melissa Jewel Hoffman, but I have gone by "Jewel" since pre-school. I'm young, outgoing, charismatic, and truly dedicated to modeling. It's been mainly a hobby, but I see myself having a real future, a successful future in this mad profession. Yeah, I said "mad", not in a bad way though. Mad to me is amazing and powerful! And you have to be the best, but that is defined differently by everyone on the planet. Hopefully I am "the best" to a photographer with a great vision of what fashion is. My main goal is to change the face of modeling. Yep, that's a big goal for someone who has never had a serious job in their life, but everyone and everything has got to start somewhere. I really want this site to get me discovered so I can be one step closer to starting my dream career. My daily dress style or "swag" is a mix of indie pieces from wal-mart and re-sale shops, and just stuff I have lying around. I dress differently almost every day. One day I'm in Oxford dress shoes, distressed skinny jeans and a chic blouse, and then the next day I'm in a flowery prairie dress above the knee, costume jewelry and Laredo western boots. But my favorite look is just some skinnies, skate shoes, and an oversized shirt I made myself. But when I'm taking pictures to get myself out there, I just wear whatever feels right, and I don't care what others think of it. I'm extremely versatile, I like to think of myself as a chameleon. I'm always up for trying something new, and that's exciting! It's like I'm becoming a new person, seeing myself in a new light. But at the end of the day, I'm still Jewel Hoffman. No amount of fame, money, or power will EVER change that, I promise. Just a small town girl, that wants a little more than what this place can offer. Yeah, I know that first part sounded like a Journey song, but that's just what I do. Ha ha ha. In case you haven't noticed by now, I'm kind of a dork, but that's just who I am, it's my personality.
