Hello my name is Crystal Basden and I have been blessed with the gift to do hair and be creative with my work. I went to Eli Whitney Tech for high school where I received my Cosmetology License, I graduated from there in 1999. So I have many years under my belt. I went on to work at a salon for a few years.
I thought I wanted to venture off into another field so I worked in the human service field for a few years then left and came back into the wonderful world of hair and have been working in this field since. I have expanded my gift from not just being able to create a hair style but also being able to market my own hair. I am currently in the process of building my own online store called Extraordinary Creations were I will be selling remy hair and other types of hair, jewlery, and makeup and more.
I have spent years learning different skills from many different stylist and also attended different classes that will keep me informed with whats instyle and current. Some of my talents with hair is weaves, create cuts, color, and so much more. I have also been working on creating my own lace wig line where I will make custom wigs for people. The Wig making business has been something I have always wanted to do and I have been bless to learn this skill.
But like everyone there is always room for more growth in all that you do as of now I will be attending Brio of Hamden for makeup classes. I am here to reach out to others and I am willing to learn and gain from others all that I can in this industry. I am working on building my portfolio that will showcase all of my hairstyles and makeup. I would like to meet models, photographers, and fashion designers that may need a hair stylist with experience to work with them then contact me I am willing to connect with you.
I am currently working from home and have the time to do freelance work. I am willing to travel to clients in CT,NY, NJ, MASS, but not limited to these areas.
