My name is Ivan Sokolov I am 21 and I am currently attending the Art Institute  pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Photography. I've been mostly doing amateur photography trying to get exposure & the practice I need so that I might someday work for Sports Illustrated or Victoria Secrets, or even Rolling Stone magazine. Richard Avedon is probably one of  my favorite photographers. Aside from  Annie Leibovitz.

I'd like to get a feel for the business and how things work. Talk with other photographers to see what their experiences have been.  That way I'm prepped for real world once I graduate. I don't think I've ever spoken about myself this much before.   
Some day soon I hope to do a real paying gig hopefully with a big name attached with it. Right now I have to pay my dues and work my tail off so I can hope to see part of my dream come to fruition.

MacBook Pro 17"
Adobe CS5
A refurbed Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera which I got for my birthday. (shout out to my Dad)

I'll take pictures of pretty much anything & anyone. I'm hoping to go to Europe after I graduate to spend a year photographing historical sites while capturing a beauty or two as subjects to expand my portfolio.
