About Me

Been photographing since I first stripped a camera (my dads ouch) and had to put it all back together again (once again ouch)

My first non snapshot type photo was taken shortly after my bum had stopped throbbing and my dads camera was fixed. This pic was taken using a shoe box, some light sensitive paper and a piece of cardboard for a shutter over the pinhole. So my love for capturing moments began. I went on to train in darkroom techniques (some that would make photoshoppers envious) specialising in B&W.

A lot of my insperation was drawn from the Johannesburg photographic museum where I would get lost in for hours studying the works. As most of my favourite works were in the journalostic genre my photography centre around sporting and people.

After leaving school I concentrated on my career in electronics and slowly life pushed my photography into a hobby that was comfortable being a collection of techniquely correct snapshots and family album captures.

Recently a couple of friends of mine rekindled my passion for my art and encouraged me to start photographing again.

At the moment I am enjoying the art of glamour photography using my previous journo style to influence my compositions. There is still a great pic out there and like the proverbial wave I intend to catch it.

Thanks for popping over and I hope to work with some of you at some stage.

At the moment I am available partime as the electronic career still funds the habit but if you are interested in TFCD or have any ideas you would like captured give me a shout.
