hello. ;)

i'll be the first to admit i have fought with my artistic style for a while. i enjoy capturing images that evoke emotion yet still maintain a visually entertaining and unique composition. as a child i had a red vivitar film camera and i believe that is where my love for grainy looking and emotional photographs comes from. when i hear the word picture i envision my family and immediately remember old kodak and polaroid images from christmas in 1985! for so long i was told by others 'do not use flash only use natural light', 'we need to pose and smile' or 'that looks like an old picture'. and you know what? that is exactly what i wanted!

at the same time i remember being super intrigued by images in vogue, elle and GQ as a kid. one year i purchased an issue of GQ magazine and my mom told me that magazine is only for men and to give it to my brother. i didn't. i wanted were the ads! i used to tear out the guess! advertisements featuring claudia schiffer and post them all over my bedroom walls. sigh. ;)

in a nutshell i do not enjoy typical glamour images but instead like to take photographs that are modern, convey emotion and give an interpretation of that person at that moment. i want to tell a story through a series of photographs. i am at my best when trusted to produce this type of modern boudoir - intimate, emotional, highly styled, editorial, artistically intriguing and visually appealing.
