My name is Rosalba Lara. I was born in Belize, but grew up in the States. I am of Hispanic/ European/ Mayan descent. I just relocated to Raleigh, NC to be closer to family. Before Raleigh I lived in Washington, D.C. for 5 years. Before D.C., I lived in NYC for about 9 years. I am a classical ballet/ contemporary dancer. My experience includes professional ballet/ contemporary dance performances on stages in and around NYC including performances at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. I trained at Studio Maestro, American Ballet Theatre, Steps on Broadway and Peridance all in Manhattan. I have experience in Argentine tango, hip-hop, tap and jazz dance. I have also modeled for a clothing store and art shows in Manhattan. Most recently, I have had the pleasure of training with the D.C. Contemporary Dance Theatre. What makes me unique is that I have very versatile looks, I enjoy learning new things, I am a hard and motivated worker, I frequently leave my comfort zone to grow artistically and I'm not afraid to put myself out there. I am looking for work as a Model/ Dancer/ Actress. I am excited to see what this new city and state have to offer! I enjoy work that is challenging so that I can push my creative boundaries.
