Derazett Crutchfield was born & raised in Altadena, CA and at the age of 17 years old knew she had a passion for hair! She has been practicing hair styling for 19 years and loves making women of all ages feel and look beautiful. In the world of hairstyling, Derazett is raising the bar in the beauty industry! Derazett received hair and beauty training at Pasadena City College where she also studied Business Administration.
Derazett’s hairstyling experience is not limited as she has worked as personal assistant to Kymberle Gammel, at Rituals Hair Studios in Altadena, California for 5 years, where she also received training in cutting, styling and hair coloring. Derazett is currently working at Freemynds Production Company where she was blessed to be part of the "Glam Squad" team.
Since joining the production company & doing GOD’s will, many doors of opportunity have opened for Derazett. This summer 2011 she worked on her debut movie “The Marriage Chronicles” with Terri J. Vaughn, Jazsmin Lewis, Persia White, Caryn Ward~Ross & Vivica Fox. She also assisted celebrity hair stylist Anthony Cherry on a feature film “The Last Fall”.
As a hair stylist/artist, Derazett is always seeking opportunities and ways in which she can enhance her hairstyling techniques. She loves behind the scenes work and has worked on a several video/photo shoots. Derazett’s work has also appeared in THE magazine (June 2011 issue). She has also been fortunate to work on the campaign shoot for Ms. California 2011.
Derazett's specialty is straightening hair to the bone without chemicals and has been dubbed "The Press & Curl Guru" by many. Her primary goal is to assist her female clientele look and feel more beautiful the day each day one mane at a time!
