About Me

My photography experience started when I took a junior high class in basic film development. I did everything great-except film development. I developed film over seven times with no good results. The teacher decided to tell me that I couldn't develop any more film because she said, (and I quote lol) "you're wasting my film ." She then tried correcting herself saying maybe there's something wrong with the developing chemicals. That really got on my nerves quite a bit not being able to finish like everyone else in the class did. I still passed the class, though, because I aced the final test. Once I entered high school, I continued my hobby and the obsession to develop film correctly in multiple photography classes. The funny thing was, when I first started to develop film again, it came out better than everyone else's in the class. I have a feeling I was being sabotaged in junior high lol. From there on out my work became as detailed as possible; I became a perfectionist with my art.

The type of work I have done in the past has been more involved with animals, landscape and portrait work. Within the last few years, the human body has been interesting me more. My pet project right now is what I call "The Headphone Project," in which the subject is photographed wearing headphones in various poses, locations, with other props, etc. During the time I've spent working on this, I've discovered what my areas of strength are and I've realized that I enjoy a more natural look that's easier on people's eyes. I have also developed my abilities to explore natural arrays of light and bending that light to make it a more unique photo.

With each client I have worked with, I've handled all pre-booking meetings, planning and designing the shoot, taking care of the contracts, informing clients about any policies, and so forth. I find myself becoming just as passionate going through the business process as the photo shoots themselves. I think when you have a client that feels safe on her or his business side of things, shoots become more relaxed, enjoyable and fulfilling. This, in turn, greatly shows in the photos themselves.

Right now I am taking on a couple of new art projects, and will be offering shooting time in exchange for prints for female models. If anyone has any questions regarding the projects, I can always be reached by e-mail.
