I am a basically self-taught sculptor. I have spent the last several years doing figurative sculpture primarily from photographs and memory. I have works in a small number of private collections but do not feel they are of the quality I want for my work. Working from 2 dimensional representations of the human figure results in a tendency to flatten out the figures. I want to participate in the Model Mayhem community so that I can find and work with figure models and improve my own work. I understand that the models I work with will be providing me with valuable sources of inspiration and experience. For this reason I am not looking for free modeling (although I would barter if the model wants a sculpture of him or herself). This website was referred to me by a professional photographer friend of mine so I am hoping all of the relationships on this site are truly professional and artistic.
