Sorry, I've been so busy making the costumes for this collection and also for my local theatre. Sorry, sorry, sorry I haven't looked at the site for months! I was asked to create a film inspired costume for the MCM Expo and settled on Arwen's death costume from the Lord of the Rings (only purple was preferred to blue by the customer). I like to create fantastic and/or historical costumes using diverse media such as hand made lace and beading as well as hand stitching. I'm an award-winning designer of Honiton lace and believe there's potential for creating day wear enlarging this medium. The next direction I want my designs to go is into illusional costumes which can give the effect of weight loss. At the moment I'm working on the concept of a kind of contemporary morality play going from angel to demon via butterfly fairy, elf, queen, vampire/witch and temptress.
