About Me

I've been a huge fan of the transformative powers of makeup since the age of 12, when I picked up my first eye shadow from Wet N' Wild at the local drugstore -- an icy, frosty pale denim blue that I wore proudly from lid to browbone . . . !

Everything about makeup intrigues me -- the way it can give you confidence, mirror your personality, create a character, hide or highlight areas of the face and body, and lift your spirits. The best part? You can take it off and do something completely different in minutes!

As a professional singer, I loved to play with makeup for performances, whether it was for a recital or a stage character. This is where I really began to experiment with makeup design, highlight and contour, and changing the shape of the face with makeup.

I finally decided to pursue my passion with an eye towards a career and enrolled at MakeUp First School in Chicago, IL. I have received my Illinois state certification in makeup artistry and continue to grow and develop as an artist. It's always exciting, and I am honored to share that excitement with each client. I'm pleased to offer individual consultations/lessons, basic theatrical and media/promotional makeup, special occasion makeup, and airbrush makeup.

I have also recently started a blog, http://lilmakeuptips.wordpress.com featuring product reviews and more!

Some Notes About Me:

1. I definitely lean towards the glam rather than gore. Focus is fashion, editorial, weddings, glamour, head shots, and theatrical (see my credits).

2. My schedule is very busy, as I am still an active singer and have other commitments. Last-minute gigs may not work, but you never know!

3. I love to teach and am open to makeup consultations/lessons for individuals and groups.
