Hi. Thanks for looking at my profile. I'm an artist, both portrait and landscape. I was an official war artist in the Bosnian war and have painted many commissioned portraits including Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace.

I'm very interested in the artistic possibilities of B&W film photography, where the grain of the film and other techniques give a timeless quality. I'm wanting to make photos where the model is portrayed in a natural way, which tells a story where she is doing something, making coffee, brushing her hair, getting dressed etc. Bringing out the life, fun and personality of the model, where femininity, high heels and stockings add to the fun. To make things clear this is not nude photography. I'm trying to get away from the posed type of shot.

Shooting in B&W film gives a very different feel from digital photography. I’m really trying to get an art feel out of the photos. The photos will be scanned and you will have a copy of the best ones.

It would be great to find a model who I could do a project on, and over time, produce a record of her life. However I’m very happy to photograph a model on a one time basis as well. You don’t need experience, however you do need confidence in yourself an idea of what modelling is, and of course enthusiasm. You don't have to have model looks for the project but if you're only interested in portraits and fashion photos then it's important to have the right model type look.
Also if you have any picture ideas you’re interested in being taken, I’d be happy to do them. It’s a two way street.

The modelling would be voluntary but you will get digital copies of the best pictures.

P.S. I've been a very experienced photographer as well, shooting about 100 weddings and many professional portraits. However that was about 6years ago. My love of photography has now returned and I'm keen to get started.
