It’s not every day that you wake up and say, “I want to be a make-up artist”. Yet that’s what 24 year old Ebony Tyson did. Ebony is a graduate of Bowie State University, with a degree in Early Childhood Education/ Special Education. Tyson’s background doesn’t scream out, “paint my face”, when you see her degree hanging in the living room of her home. It seems to say teach my child, but behind her mild manner teaching persona lies a wild artist willing to bring out your inner beauty. Her gifted hands and impeccable eye for precision, vivid colors and style, pale in comparison to her heart, which softly whispers, I can make you beautiful. Ebony’s passion for make-up artistry stems from her joining a growing make-up line. Ebony Tyson’s says, “Make-up is art to me. It’s amazing to see the transformation right before my eyes. When they can’t take their eyes off themselves, that feeling is priceless”. Ebony is in the process of starting her own line of make-up, using the skills that she learned from the cosmetics company and all the experience of planned consultations, weddings and make-up parties. Tyson is heading in the right direction and is sure to be a big name in the coming years. Look for her line of products coming soon at a store near you. I have joined Model Mayhem because I want to expose myself as a makeup artist. I would also like to connect with other fashion minded people. My goal is to become a well know makeup artist in the DMV.
