Passionate, Inquisitive, and Mysterious. These are three words that describe the Nigerian-American artist Ms. Kehinde Koyejo.

Ms. Koyejo holds a B.F.A in Acting from Pace University and a M.A. in Performance Studies, from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Although Kehinde has been busy with her education and gaining valuable skills and experiences, as a theorist/artist, she has traveled to El Salvador, Bahia, to research the connection between spiritual possession and character possession on an actor and to Nigeria to document her family legacy. Kehinde’s theoretical foundation has deeply informed her art and has given her the tools to create performances that are not only entertaining but performative as well.

Now that Ms. Koyejo is finished with her education she plans to continue to utilize and expand upon her skills and talents on stage and in front of the camera. Her goals include developing several performance art pieces that challenge different conventional ideas about race, religion, gender, and death. She also plans to continue doing commercials, voice-overs and print work in her spare time.

Ms. Koyejo has joined MM in order to expand her network and submit to various opportunities that are along her career goals.
