About Me

1st off I am 26. I am not sure why it says age 28. I don't know how to fix it.lol

I am a young Mac Make-up Artist. I love working for that company and have been enjoying every minute of it. I also have my own Aesthetics company that I do part-time.

Anyway I was never really one for wearing make-up and nail polish. I remember when my mom was taking make-up & aesthetics and wanting to practice on me years back. She used to call me into the bathroom and give me makeover after makeover from head to toe and I would always give her a hard time and wait till she was gone to go wash the make-up off my face and remove the nail enhancements. I was so picky! Something’s never change because I am still very picky but now I love make-up aesthetics and I am the one calling her to get her make-up done.

Even if my client likes the end result of a service I have done I will not proceed unless I am happy with it because you are a reflection of my work .When my customers leave they are portraying my work and if it is not done properly what is that saying about me?? However my clients always leave happy and are ready to book their next appointments.

So I guess you are wondering why I got into Make-up and aesthetics? I use to have really low self esteem issues due to my treatment in school. I always was the last to be picked for everything or the first to be bullied. Now that I look back I laugh about it but at the time I used to feel so ugly. It was not until I started College where my confidence boosted. This was when my mom started to go back into her roots with make-up and aesthetics. I know I said I used to wash all the make-up off when she used to practice but there are a few moments I left it on. I remember having to go to work in Square One Mall and my mom said “please leave your make-up on so I could get some feedback on how I am doing from your co-workers.” I will not forget the amount of people staring at me that day. I was so self conscious. I thought it was because I was ugly and I remember doing cash in the store and these two women came up to me from a modeling agency and wanted me to meet with them again at their office. I was uninterested at first but I remember my mom saying just try it. If you don’t like it then you don’t have to keep going. So a few weeks later I went to meet with her and got myself some modeling gigs lined up. I realized while at photo shoots, certain events and shows the agency sent me to, I started to love the make-up booth. I used to hang out with the make-up artist and the nail technicians. I would just sit with them and watch how they did the girls nails and make-up. I would be in awe to myself on how fast you can transform someone and make them feel 10 times better about themselves in a matter of 30 minutes. I realized I liked that part better then I like the modeling. Then my friends the rest was history!!!

Now that feeling I felt that day while at work when those ladies approached me, I will never forget it and I want other people to have that same feeling and feel just as good as I did and that I still do years later. As time has gone by I have learned so much about myself and I realised that I love people and I love to help them feel good about themselves because I have been there and it is a lonely place. So Make-up and aesthetics was the right choice for me 100% it is a passion of mine.... and I have no regrets. I know I talk about both Make-up and Aesthetics but I excel in both and when I do gigs I do the models nails, make-up and eyelash extensions. So I am the full package.
