Call me Ismael. Photography is my passion and life is my subject.

I reckon my story will be more interesting if I told you that I have been taking photos for more than 20 years having learned from the best with my works appearing in some of the most popular magazines in Australia, or maybe even the world. Sorry to say this is not me.

I have been taking photos since I was a child using our family’s 135 mm film camera, no not one of those fancy SLRs just the el cheapo ones. People always seem to fancy my shots and I never understood why back then.

A management career, a wife and three beautiful children later, after crossing the Pacific Ocean migrating to Australia I have come back to my true love – Photography.

My specialty is not specializing – I shoot landscapes, live events, portraits, fashion, sports and glamour. But lately, I have found the human physique to be most interesting, its curvatures, uniqueness and beauty. I believe that this is what Model Mayhem offers to photographers like me – the opportunity to find and express beauty, whatever size, form, colour it may be.
