About Me

Welcome to my portfolio notes.

Thanks for stopping by and having a read.

I'm a keen hobbist photographer that enjoys trying capture the person behind a portrait.....or something arty-farty like that.

Basically I don't take myself too seriously, I like a laugh and I shoot when I can and where I can. I actively encourage communication prior to a shoot to help evolve an idea into creation.

As long as we're all singing off the same hymn sheet when it comes to pressing the shutter release.

I like to use Googledrive or Dropbox for mood board/inspirational pictures.

As comfortable in the studio as I am on location, I'm not one who is afraid to push myself into new areas or abandoned locations. If it means a bit of hiking to get to the right spot I'll quite happily lug all my gear to that spot.

However if there is a chance of a nice warm studio with working toilets and the option to take my boots off I'm not going to say no (and I will try and wear socks without holes in them)

My 9-5 job allows me to travel on a regular basis so distance isn't always a problem if you're interested in working together let me know. I'll try and keep any info on photographer tours on here or I may add you to my "want to work with" list and try and convince my boss I need to do a course in the area you're based. Happy to collaborate and share prints and I don't use watermarks so please credit me where you can either on here or by linking to my Facebook Photography page.

If I've worked with you regardless on payment if you want a copy of the pictures for promotional purposes you are more than welcome to them.

You've probably got more followers than me on Facespace and Mytwit anyway.

I am always looking to expand my portfolio with as many diverse styles and would love to shoot the following types of images:
Themed/Cosplay
Dance (ballet)
Alternative
Tattoo'd nude/implied nude
Trash the dress

Chaperones aren't something I have a problem with if you feel the need to bring one then that is up to you.

However if they are going to be present during the shoot they'll be expected to pitch in with moving lights, holding reflectors or making the drinks. I like to believe I'm quite relaxed on my shoots with the view of promoting a relaxed environment.

If we're not enjoying what we're doing then why do it?

So once again I thank you for spending a little time reading my notes and hope to hear from you soon. "I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
