Hello! My name is Allison Nelson and I'm a writer with light and lens. I would like to build upon my portfolio in exchange to help newer talent build upon there commercial look. I will provide a full disc of high resolution photos in exchange for modeling talent.

My background begins in hair and makeup, I'm a trained Vidal Sassoon hairstylist and have had the pleasure of being apart of the NY fashion scene ranging from high-end events production to fashion week in Bryant Park (2005 Cynthia Rowley & Marc Bower Collections). I dabble in makeup and styling and I'm looking to take my 2012 portfolio a step further. My preconceived story to this years approach revolves around fantasy and escape within the metropolitan / urban environments of New York. The light in the dark series will require a few strong models willing to endure the outdoors and use of natural lighting. This is a great way for beginning models to learn how to use light to your advantage.

I enjoy creating and directing in general, I was given the challenge to create a photojournalistic essay for the World Series of Golf & the World High Stakes Golf Championships from 2008-2011. I created compelling stories through the eyes of the characters. I have had the opportunity to work along side NBC, ABC, WGN & HDNet telecommunication networks. My work has been published in USA Today, Bluff Magazine, Vegas Golfer and has also run internationally through Full Tilt Poker and Rounders online.

My approach to all my photographs and art in general is the overall conceptualization from beginning to end, weather it's a story or a composed setting in an editorial display. I enjoy photographing as much as I enjoy my other interests: drawing, painting, jazz trumpet, baking & biking.
