Hi my name is Theresa and I am 50 years old looking to change careers and go after my dream of being a make up artist. Since my boys are grown now I am exploring new options. I work for a make up company in San Francisco and have learned a lot since I have been there but I would really like to branch out and keep learning more and more things. I am on this site looking for contacts in the industry. I would like the opportunity to learn from others and to connect with others (photographer's, hairstylist, designers and models) who are also starting out and looking to create a portfolio. The make up industry is a "young" industry and people that are in the industry at my age has usually been in it for 20 plus years, and here I am just getting started. I do have a little business on the side "The Eyes Know." I am self taught and really do not have a lot of younger people so I really only have myself to practice on.

I have done a few trade shows with my company where I have had the opportunity to apply make up. I also work in our showroom from time to time when needed. I have also done several weddings, and proms. One of my favorite looks is the "Pin Up." One of my goals is to master the pin up look...I don't do the hair so if you want to do the hair...I will do the make up. Other than that I have worked hard for my boys as a single mom...I have done some modeling in my younger years and now just wanting to do something I really enjoy. I am not as good as some, but not as bad as many...and always willing and wanting to learn. I LOVE COLOR...I love how make up can transform someone. I love the smile on women's faces when they feel good about the make up I have done on them. The one thing I really love is for those who say, "I can't wear color" and I say, "Oh yes you can"
