About Me

Primarily, I regard myself as an artist who is a photographer. This is largely influenced by our current economics. I have done much editorial work in the past, regionally, nationally, as well as internationally.

For me, photography has always been somewhat dichotomous: on one hand, it serves as a tool of documentation, while at the same time, it can portray non-reality.  My journey through it continues to traverse betwixt these two points.

Much of my most recent work involves shooting film & utilizing the so-called "alternative" printing techniques. It is no exaggeration to say that these techniques are in danger of becoming a lost art form owing to the advent of ink-jet printers.

With respect to "Ghosts & Apparitions," this body of work represents my counter-revolutionary retort to the Digital Age, as well as my homage to those 19th-century chemists who made photography a reality. Most of my efforts are directed toward furthering this particular portfolio.

In addition to my previously noted subjects, I strongly desire to work on another: Celtic Warrior Princess/Queen. This came about with my study of Queen Boudica, a member of the Iceini tribe in western England & of how & why she rose in revolt against the Roman occupiers. Let me simply say that she was a total bad-arse! Costuming will potentially be a nightmare as historical documentation in practically nil.If you have talents along those lines, please advise.
