Im a womens resort wear designer based in Santa Monica, CA. I'm a self taught fashion designer and I design under the label "CONCEPCION". After a 1 hour sewing lesson from a friend, I was hooked!! I began sewing and designing womens resort wear back in 2010, and began selling my designs at Farmers markets and street fairs in Los Angeles. As my ability and knowledge grew and about the fashion industry, and my designs and sewing skills matured, I began selling at bigger venues at designer events in California, New York, Chicago and Boston. These events include Sassy City Chicks, Sheckys, THREAD, and special events for the Susan G. Koman fundraisers and for Make a Wish Foundation.

My main goal is create and designs comfortable and colorful womens resort wear that can go from day to evening as you can see from the pictures in my portfolio. Wearing resort wear should seem effortless and seamlessly beautiful. It should inspire, and challenge ones ideas of what she can wear: How, Where, or When.

Pounding the pavement at trade shows, street fairs and farmers markets was the best way to know my customers. Who they are. What they want. And most importantly, how they wanted to look and feel. Im not just making beautiful dresses, and Im also helping make dreams come true. Sounds corny, but if you've ever seen a women's face light up after finding the perfect dress, you know what i mean.

My main purpose of joing in MM is to make great connections with other designers, models and photographers......to hopefully help each other out in this crazy industry.
