About Me

Lauren Neal is an actress and writer from Denver, Colorado. In May of 2011, she graduated from Brown University with a Performance Studies degree; she has also lived, worked, and studied in New York and Northern California. Lauren performs, writes, and records regularly as her award-winning alter ego Licki Ucroj, a Nicki Minaj-inspired comedienne/rapper with an ever-expanding fan base in underground hip-hop. She plans to release her first mixtape -- produced by rapper and audio engineer Jack of Co.Z -- this year.

Additionally, Lauren continues to work with her college dance company, New Works/World Traditions, a movement theatre group based in West African dance and committed to embodied knowledge, social justice issues, and "the anatomy of the spirit."

Since moving to Los Angeles, Lauren has had lead roles in several short films, including LOOK AGAIN, an African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) nominee for Best Short Film. She will also soon appear in two comedic webseries: WORDS WITH GIRLS and THOSE WITH CLASS.

Judy Phu's THE LOVELY REJECTS (still in post-production) will mark her first feature film.
